Karol Bielecki's handball team won bronze medal on the World Championship in Croatia

Sandomierz News from February 1, 2009. Danish team defeated! Our handball players won bronze medal on the World Championship in Croatia. Despite the not-so-good start Karol Bielecki (born in Sandomierz) managed to finish the championship with a blast. He scored 10 goals in the match for bronze medal and became the best player of the match. A day before the match he shaved his head. He shaved himself when he saw his roommate Mariusz Jurasik shaving. When Jurasik regain shape, Bielecki has shaved himself, too. Ryszard Kiljański, his first coach watched the game in Sandomierz, too.
