New tenement bought by the Municipality of Sandomierz

Sandomierz News from August 31, 2008. One of the oldest tenements located on Poniatowski Square was bought by the Municipality. After repairs several departments of Municipal Office which are now scattered among many placed will be moved here. Everyone will benefit of the transaction, town, office and the suppliants. It's one of the oldest and most original tenements of the Old Town in Sandomierz, it has well preserved walls from 14th Century and was extended in 16th. Price Józef poniatowski lived in this tenement during the fight for the Duchy of Warsaw in 1809\Nwhile he was in the area of Sandomierz.
